I have 2 of these pieces of junk. Constant problems: won't hold water in the tank and won't flush completely, even with new parts. Rube Goldberg nightmare!

Ive had this toilet fir 3 years. I am on my 4th seal. Issues with the flush arm being bent, ive wasted probably over 150 bucks of water bills just cause its always running cause i dont have time to tend to this peice of garbage all the time. Im just gunna get the kohler toilet i have upstairs and pay more now but it will pay off and save myself the headsche which is this stupid toilet!

Adjustable you teeter bar as loose as possible so chanes are dangling, tighten up tank bolts as the become loose clean flapers with dish soap , flush and fill 5 times to prime toilet flush . Good to go 1 hour work time

My is 5 months old and is Leaking,my old toilet I had it for 20 years no problem until it develop a Crack a t the Base (didn't leak) I only replace the float once.

This system is pure garbage. 371 bucks and you have to get them to send you a new valve with no instructions on what to even do with it. And of course they are closed on the weekends. Do not buy this or any other American standard ripoff shower system

What joke 😂😂 this is a stock removal. Show one with the shower plate and a valve with wear and tear like ALL of your products get within 3 years of installation.

I regret buying the American standard toilet that has the smooth side for “easy cleaning”. Once it’s installed, you have no access to adjusting the seat and I can’t even figure out how to take the seat off now. The seat is cheap plastic and if you ever sit on it, it sinks in. Mine is constantly getting loose and the seat moves around. I’ve had it for about six years now and regret it.

Not happy with the part replacement. The tiny nut could not be opened using 2.5 mm as advised by customer support (even after covering the handle with vinegar soaked cloth around the handle. looks like have to replace the entire assembly.

I had a leaky hot water valve. After taking the handle off as per this video I found that my cartridge required quite a bit of force to undo even after spraying wd-40 around cartridge threads and giving it some soft taps with the handle of my wrench. When it came time to loosen the cartridge I was doing something wrong; I was certain the wrench was going to "cam out" or strip the cartridge exterior. I vicegripped the valve body under the sink against the wall to prevent the bottom of the valve from spinning as I turned the cartridge loose. I finally got it out by using a vice grip on the bottom of the valve and then turning the cartridge itself loose with another vicegrip.

I agreed, I have American standard toilet and I have to replace the seal as well. They do this to get money out of American citizens whether through our utility (water) bill or maintenance repair cost. This toilet is perfect designed to get money out of American citizens.

What about a broken green cap. It's gotten brittle and the edges have broken off, allowing water in beneath the seal.

I just bought a wooden one at Lowe’s. Followed the instructions but you can pull the seat right out of the mounting tray. The mounting tray is tight but there’s no contact with the seat to hold it on. Normally, it’s a nut and bolt that simply holds it on. Not this one!

I hope this saves someone some time in the future. Sometimes a vacume will form inside the cartridge which will prevent the removal of the cartridge. You have to turn the assembly from side to side to break the vacuum. I basically had to waste hours and whittle down all the plastic piece before learning that.

Horrible. Slides all over, even used a socket and ratchet to tighten. Already tossed the box and receipt so money wasted. Other brand i have uses a square toothed washer under the bolt head to engage the teeth in the hinge, that system works great.

I admit your toilets work great....except for the flushing mechanism. That is plain stupidity. Also your wide spread faucets are absolute JUNK. Your brand name used to stand for something. The "Standard". Something for all other manufacturers to follow. Then it became American Standard. But, the quality of work and thought process in design and function became "Sub-Standard". So, it's about time you rename your company "Lower Standard". Instead of using engineers who don't know shit, hire some plumbers to design something better.
